Engineered with Loomis’ Conduit Core Technology and GL7 Resin System, the IMX-PRO V2 remains light in hand while increasing overall durability and sensitivity. The IMX-PRO V2 has a fast action that punches into the wind and lets you turn over those heavy rigs when getting deep is crucial to success. Handcrafted in Woodland, Washington, this family of rods is available in line weights 4 through 8, including a couple of 8’10” models for the dedicated streamer anglers out there. The IMX-PRO V2 Rods are designed to be reliable “workhorses” that give the performance you need for day-in and day-out time spent on the water.

Conduit Core - At the heart of the IMX-Pro V2, you’ll find G. Loomis’ Conduit Core Blank. Conduit Core is a proprietary technology that Loomis uses to decrease the weight of the rod by replacing excess graphite with a proprietary material that’s considerably lighter yet equally strong. This technology is exactly what will reduce the work involved in those long days spent casting heavy nymph rigs and streamers, working sink tip lines, and catching fish after fish. 
With their Conduit Core Technology in the blank, Loomis seamlessly integrates their proprietary GL7 Resin, in order to add the strength that you need for tough fish while keeping things nice and light.

Custom Aluminum Reel Seat (w/ wood insert on models 490-4 & 590-4 and fighting butt on models 4100-4 & 590-4 FB and up) - Depending on which model you chose, G. Loomis provides you with the option of a Custom Aluminum Reel Seat equipped with a clean wood insert or a Custom Aluminum Reel Seat with a Fighting Butt. Both of these choices are excellent options depending on where you’re fishing and what you’re fishing for, but those rods with a wooden insert will excel in lighter situations, whereas those with a fighting butt are perfect whenever you need added power during technical fights.
